Our Cacao Husk Tea is made from the dried outer husks of our Thai cacao beans, a by-product of chocolate production that most makers discard. We do not discard them. We turn them into something extraordinary. Brewed like a herbal tea, the result is a warm, naturally chocolatey infusion with a subtle earthiness, a hint of natural sweetness, and none of the sugar or fat of conventional hot chocolate.

Cacao husk tea is naturally rich in antioxidants and theobromine, and contains zero added sugar. A genuinely functional daily drink for anyone who loves the flavour of cacao without the calories. To brew, steep one tablespoon in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes and drink plain or with a touch of honey or plant milk.

Our chocolatier spent 18 years perfecting this chocolate, searching across Thailand and beyond for beans that deliver the perfect balance of flavour and purity.

The husks come from the same small family farms across Thailand, primarily in Loei province, that supply all our chocolate. Every farm undergoes initial heavy metal certification before supply, with ongoing random testing to maintain our standards. We also believe the people who grow our cacao deserve to taste what it becomes. We pay every farmer their full asking price, and sometimes more. We send every farmer finished BARADA chocolate so they can experience their own work from bean to bar. Most cacao farmers in the world never get that chance. Ours do.
